Ok, ok, us dog lovers are not so delusional to think that owning a puppy (all dogs are puppies, regardless of age) seriously makes us eligible for Mother's Day cards, but have a loving, innocent, four-legged creature to take care of definitely helps bring out maternal instincts in women who are not ready to have or do not plan to have human children.
